AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2020):
Graduates as the most decorated long snapper in school history...First Team All-Conference USA...Semifinalist for Patrick Mannelly Award (Nation's Top Long Snapper)...Conference USA All-Academic Team...William V Campbell Trophy Nominee...Had two tackles, one forced fumble (at Miami) and one fumble recovery (vs. Central Arkansas)...Helped freshman place kicker Matt Quinn go 11-of-12 on field goal attempts and 31-of-32 on point after attempts...Helped Kyle Greenwell average 42.6 yards per punt as UAB ranked 29th nationally in net punting...Did not record a bad snap all season long.
AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2019):
Honorable Mention All-Conference USA...Had four total tackles and a fumble recovery...Handled all short and long snapping responsibilities...Helped Nick Vogel finish 19-of-23 on FG attempts, including making his final 11 kicks, and going 37-of-37 on PAT...Vogel finished as the school record holder for career PAT percentage (128-of-131, .977) in which Fuqua held every single one...Also assisted in sophomore Kyle Greenwell being added to the midseason Ray Guy Award Watch List...Greenwell had 68 punts on the season and averaged 42.1 yards per punt...Recipient of C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2018):
Handled all short and long snapper responsibilities...Helped Nick Vogel set a school record with 51 PATs made...Also helped Vogel make 15-of-24 field goals, including his final six and the game-winning in the C-USA Championship against Middle Tennessee...Also helped freshman punter Kyle Greenwell average 40.1 yards per punt...Finished the year with one tackle...Helped UAB have its best season in program history which including winning a school record 11 games, its first C-USA Championship (27-27 over Middle Tennessee) and first bowl game (37-13 over NIU - Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl)...C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017):
Appeared in all 13 games as the primary short snapper…Assisted in Nick Vogel connecting on 40-of-42 point after attempts...C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Played for coach Brad Webber at Pike County (Ga.) High School… Named a scholar-athlete for maintaining a GPA above a 3.75.
